Welcome to the Dover Castle Archers web site.
Formed in 1978, despite our name we are not connected to the historic Dover Castle nearby but our first practice ground was within sight of the building, here in South East Kent. Today, our shooting grounds are at the beautiful Waldershare Park, about 5 miles from Dover.
Dover Castle Archers is a target archery club. We shoot outdoors during the summer season and indoors during the winter months. Our members use the recurve or compound types of bow. The English longbow is also shot. Crossbows are not permitted.
We try to be a relaxed and friendly club and cater as much for those who wish just to shoot for their own pleasure, as for the more competitive Archer.
Shooting is possible most days of the week outdoors. Indoors we shoot on Sundays and Tuesday evenings during the winter season.
